Description
This was a color pencil drawing I did of a Monarch Butterfly on some native asters on our acreage. Monarchs have been in deep trouble for the past several years - becoming less and less common due to the herbicide glyphosate wiping out most of the milkweeds in North America. We have several types of Asclepias (milkweed) planted on our prairie pastures, trying to do our part...the drawing is my way of celebrating this iconic North American butterfly.
